On February 1, 2024...Cardinal Sean O'Malley approved the transfer, recommended by Clergy Personnel, of Fr. Ken Overbeck from pastor of St. Bonaventure Parish to pastor of St. Joseph Parish, Medway. Fr. Ken is the longest serving priest in the history of our parish and we are deeply saddened to lose him but know that St. Joseph Parish is gaining a profoundly talented priest.

Be kind to the new guy...
Fr. Paul K. Hurley is the new pastor of St. Bonaventure Parish. Fr. Hurley is a 1984 graduate of West Point Military Academy. During two military assignments, Fr. Hurley discerned a call to the priesthood. He attended St. John Seminary in Boston and was ordained for the Archdiocese in 1995 and worked for five years as a parish priest before he joined the Army Chaplain Corp. Fr. Hurley retired from the military in 2019 after serving as Chief of Chaplains of the U.S. Army and after having achieved the rank of Major General. Fr. Hurley was a classmate of Fr. Ken and comes to the parish with an enormous amount of administrative and pastoral experience and will lead the parish into the future on the foundation built by Fr. Ken.
