The initiation process begun with the child's Baptism is followed by the celebration of the sacrament of the Eucharist in grade 2, and the sacrament of Confirmation in grade 10.

Eucharist:  Children preparing for the sacrament of the Eucharist must attend instruction in grade 1.  Immediate preparation for the Eucharist begins in grade 2.  As Christians, we share in the Eucharist each week when we gather for Mass.  It is through the liturgical symbols and rituals that we are drawn to a deeper understanding and celebration of the mysteries of our faith.  Our Sacramental Preparation Program uses liturgy as the starting point for catechesis.  Children in grade 2 not only participate in weekly classroom study, but more importantly, they are expected to participate in weekly Mass. Traditionally, first communions are held in the month of May.

Reconciliation:  The children in grade 2 will celebrate God's forgiveness and healing love for them in the sacrament of Reconciliation in December, following a period of catechesis.

Confirmation:  Resources for Christian Living Preparation Program is designed to help guide the teens as they continue their journey of Christian Instruction into the Church.  Preparation is rooted on solid sacramental theology, and includes the elements of ritual, prayer, scripture, doctrine, and reflection.  The aim of the program will be to help candidates prepare for the actual liturgical celebration of Confirmation; and to prepare them for active participation in the liturgical life of the Church.  Our Sacramental Preparation Program uses liturgy as the starting point for catecheses.  The teens preparing for Confirmation must attend instruction in grade 9.  The teens in grade 9 and grade 10 not only participate in weekly classroom study, but more importantly, they are expected to participate in weekly Mass.

Protection of Children "Safe Environment" Programs for children in grades 1 though grade 8 are taught basic safety that includes fire and walking safety, home safety, inappropriate touch and advice against bullying.

Catechists in the program must submit a CORI (Criminal Offence Records Inquiry).  All catechists must attend the Virtus Program which is an awareness program on sexual abuse of children.
